I had a dream about being in a hotel or like a hang out spot indoors with a bunch of others, everyone had to get ready. I went near the stage outside where all of the people i was with was, and i told them i had to get ready and then a guy that i used to be friends with in high school that has had a crush on me for like 3 years since our junior year of high school and a bit after we graduated as well, brought up my ex and how we broke up because of something to do with shower. a girl that i was friends with in high school said yes to him. and i clarified to him and said no, that we “broke up” because i took too long in the shower, not because i don’t shower often. and he starts laughing and nodding his head, and then i think he asks me how long i take, i said an hr and 30 mins and he’s like oh gosh. and then i had to get ready and i only had a certain amount of time before the concert started so i told him okay see y’all in 2 hrs, i didn’t know where the showers were so i asked someone there inside of our “hotel”, that person said she was going to show me, while that was happening one of my favorite songs was playing so i felt happy and was singing alone. she was getting her hair cut and i was a little stressed about needing to go get ready but i also didn’t want to tell her or pressure her. but then i woke up. the whole time throughout the dream i felt positive emotions, nothing negative.
Dreams often interweave elements of your past, present thoughts, and emotions, and they can serve as a reflection of your current mental state, unresolved feelings, or subconscious desires. Here's an interpretation of your dream:
A hotel or an indoor hangout spot often symbolizes a temporary phase in one's life or a sense of being in a transitional place. It can indicate that you are in a period of change or perhaps evaluating where you are in life.
The necessity of getting ready, especially for a concert or big event, reflects the pressure you might feel to prepare for upcoming changes or challenges in your waking life. It shows a determination to be at your best or fulfill a role in an upcoming situation.
Meeting people from your high school, especially a former friend with a known crush on you, suggests the resurfacing of unresolved emotions or unfinished narratives from your past. This suggests that there might be thoughts or feelings regarding past relationships that you are revisiting or reconciling with.
The dialogue about breaking up due to shower time is symbolic. Showers often represent cleansing and renewal, suggesting that there may be matters in your life where you believe you've invested time and effort—perhaps more than others might deem necessary. This might reflect on personal self-care routines or habits you have, facing judgment from others, or possibly self-reflection on how you spend your time and prioritize self-care.
The positive emotions throughout the dream are great indicators that, despite some of the nuances or stresses (like time constraints), you are generally content and in a good emotional space with these reflections or changes. The fact that you never felt negative emotions when interpreting the interaction about your ex and your habits implies a sense of confidence or peace with your past and self-knowledge.
Hearing a favorite song and singing along denotes contentment and finding joy in the moment. Music also often signifies emotional expression and connection, suggesting you might feel connected to your life or are anticipating joyful times ahead.
Your willingness to wait for your friend to finish having her hair cut, despite feeling pressed for time, might reflect patience and understanding in your relationships. This might also symbolize a willingness to not rush into things and allow events or relationships to progress naturally.
The dream suggests you are at a crossroads or in a transitional period, with reflections on time, relationships, and personal care. However, you feel positive and assured about your future steps, despite the pressures and memories of past relationships. There is an element of self-acceptance and enjoyment in your current journey, as well as a readiness to embrace future opportunities, such as the metaphorical 'concert' in life.
Your subconscious might be nudging you to continue being gentle with yourself about the time you take for self-care and to not hurry excessively in achieving goals or changes, even as you prepare for new experiences in life.
